Name:Greg and Janet Williams
From:Bellevue, WA USA
Message:I will always remember Charles attending Sammamish Totem girl's soccer games when Tara was learning goal keeping and I was her coach.  He supported my coaching by reinforcing lessons with Tara at home with Susan's help. To say Tara was a tough study is an understatement and I appreciated both of their assistance and support.  Very fond memories of the entire family and you have our condolences.

Name:Walt Hickey
From:Bellevue, WA
Message:Charles, you and Susan parented wonderful daughters.  It was inspiring to see how they cared for you day after day.

Charles, remember when you were first confined to a wheel chair, your memory troubling you.  You rode with me to Tolt Middle School, Carnation, a couple times a week. There you would spin stories wiht my 8th graders of how life really is and what they can expect.
Then, Charles, remember riding home in the car.   You and I would talk about our girls, our families.  And, we would talk and compare our lives growing up.

Charles, you and I went to watch the races together.  I remember you in a blanket in your wheel chair.  But I remember the excitement in your eyes when the cars raced by.  Good times.

And I remember how you "supervised" some of the yardwork projects we came up with.  Happy to see that things were getting done around the house.

Charles, you will always be remembered as a kind man, a great friend, a loving father.  And I will take our friendship wherever I go.  Your wit in the face of illness, your good humor as you endured setback is an ideal to strive for.

Good bye, my friend.
