David Lorne Prescott
December 29, 1949 - April 21, 2005

Birthplace:  North Bend, Oregon
Resided In:  Bellevue WA USA

Born December 29, 1949 in North Bend, David Lorne Prescott was the son of Raymond and Rhea Prescott.  He died on April 21, 2005 in Bellevue, WA.

David, “D.P.”, was a 1968 graduate of Marshfield High School.  After high school he was a dedicated worker for 20 years at the Weyerhaeuser Mill in Coos Bay.  Upon the closure of the mill in 1989 David went back to school and received his Associates of Applied Science Degree with a Business Management emphasis at Southwestern Oregon Community College.  David had a great passion for knowledge and history, while attending SWOCC he had the honor of being on the Dean’s List. After graduating in 1992 he moved to Issaquah and then onto Bellevue where he spent 9 years working for Boston Scientific Corporation.

David spent the majority of his life enjoying the outdoors.  Camping and fishing were two of his greatest loves.  He was a great story teller and many of these stories were of times he spent camping up the river with his parents and brothers, as well as the times he spent camping with his own children.

David was a self professed “collector of everything.”  His collections of stamps, postcards, coins, bottles, City of Marshfield memorabilia, books, etc. were things that brought him great joy throughout his life.

He was a beloved dad, son, brother, and grandfather and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his son, Nicholas Prescott of Bend; daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Scott McNutt of Tigard; parents, Ray and Rhea Prescott of Coos Bay, brother and sister-in-law, Brad and Sandy Prescott of Issaquah, WA, brother, Lee Prescott of Coos Bay, granddaughter, Isabella McNutt of Tigard, and three grand-puppies, Shine, Roxie, and Birdie Prescott of Bend.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Prescott.

A private family service for David Lorne Prescott, 55, of Bellevue, WA, will be held at a later date.
