Special Agent Lindsey Ferris, 26, a GS civilian employee assigned to the Air Force Office of Special Investigation Detachment 518, Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany, died suddenly Sunday, January 29.   Lindsey was born July 29, 1979 in Lansing, Michigan and her family relocated to Westlake in 1985. She attended Magnificat High School in Rocky River and graduated in 1997. She then attended The George Washington University, Washington DC, where she received a BS in Communication and a Masters in Forensic Science. She competed in gymnastics at the high school and collegiate level and was a true athlete, loving soccer as a pickup sport.  “The loss of Agent Ferris has deeply impacted the entire Spangdahlem community,” said Col. David Goldfein, 52nd Fighter Wing commander.  “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Ferris family, her friends and co-workers.”  She is survived by her parents Keith and Pamela Ferris of Hastings, Michigan.  Brother Nicholas (Beverly) Ferris of Pearland, Texas.  Maternal grandmother Donna Smit of Saranac, Michigan.  Several aunts, uncles, cousins.  As well as her many friends in the Westlake, Washington DC and Spangdahlem, Germany areas. VISITATION WILL BE HELD AT JENKINS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2914 DOVER CENTER ROAD, WESTLAKE ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 4 FROM 11 – 2 p.m.  A memorial service will then be held at 2:45 p.m. at Magnificat High School Auditorium.  Funeral arrangements for Monday, February 6 are being handled at Wren Funeral Home in Hastings, MI, (269) 945-2471.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Magnificat High School, Memorial Scholarship Fund, 20770 Hilliard Blvd., Rocky River, 44116, In Memory of Lindsey Marie Ferris.
