The Rev. Dr. Wayne Normile Metz, 86, of Owensboro, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, after a brief illness. He was an ordained priest of the Episcopal Church, and a retired professor at Kentucky Wesleyan College for many years. He was an Army Veteran of WW II and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane McReynolds Metz, on May 3, 1999.
Survivors include his sons, Michael, Gary, Robert and Jonathan; nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1:00 PM Friday at Trinity Episcopal Church with visitation with the family following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Episcopal Church, 720 Ford Avenue, Owensboro, KY 42301. Glenn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
