Evelyn Fay (Watkins) Sublett, 77 of 2000 Trillium Gardens, Owensboro, died Saturday, August 25, 2007, at Owensboro Medical Health System. Mrs. Sublett was born in Pleasant Ridge to the late James W. and Lillian (Westerfield) Watkins.


She was a retired registered nurse after 42 years and last worked in labor and delivery for Donelson Hospital in Nashville, TN. for 18 years. Mrs. Sublett graduated from Daviess County High School and took her nurses training in Owensboro. She also lived in San Rapheal, CA. for a year, Glasgow, KY. a year, Bowling Green, KY for 2 years, in addition to her 31 years in Nashville, and had been back in Owensboro for about 6 years.
Mrs. Sublett enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, crochet, antiques, and interior design. Preceding her in death were her daughter, Julia Ann Sublett in 1962 and her husband, Wiliam “Bill” Sublett in 1988.

Surviving her are her sons, John B. Sublett and William Ritchie Sublett II,both of Nashville TN, a son and daughter in law, Joseph C. Sublett and Barbara G. Sublett of Knoxville, TN.,  and a daughter, Rebecca Lynn Sublett of Old Hickory, TN; grandchildren, Julia Gayle Faye Sublett, Ezekiel C. Sublett and great-grandson, Cooper Joseph Ezekiel Sublett, all of Knoxville, TN.;a sister, Betsy Rodenberg and niece, Susan Durfee, and nephews, Bobby Rodenberg,of Marion , IL., Frank Rodenberg of Conneticuit, Dick Watkins and Jim Watkins of South Carolina.


Funeral Services will be held 12 p.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Sowards officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday.
