James “Jim” Patrick Ivin of Issaquah passed away Sunday, November 16, 2008 at home. He was 37. Jim was born August 7, 1971 in Chicago, Illinois to Jerry and Diane Ivin. He was raised in Issaquah and graduated from Issaquah High School in 1991. Following high school Jim furthered his education at Lake Washington Technical College. On September 18, 1998 Jim married Erin Christine O’Dell in Issaquah. They settled in Issaquah and started a family. In 2000 Jim started his career as a diesel mechanic at Northwestern Industries. Jim was an outdoor enthusiast who loved dirt biking, mountain biking, snowmobiling, hiking and camping. He is remembered by his family and friends as a man who held a deep passion for his family, especially his children. Always involved in an activity with his family, friends or co-workers Jim possessed a non-stop motor for life experiences. He is deeply missed. In addition to his wife, survivors include his loving children, Nathan and Kathryn; parents, Jerry and Diane Ivin of Ronald, Washington; brother, Michael (Darlene) Ivin of Issaquah; two nephews and a host of extended family members and friends. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Flintoft’s Funeral Home and Crematory, 540 E. Sunset Way, Issaquah.
