Christina Marie Stephens, 29, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at her home.

She was born August 2, 1979, in Columbia, MO the daughter of Mary Elisabeth “Libby” Stephens and granddaughter of William “Bill” and Marylee Stephens.

Ms. Stephens was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School and attended State Fair Community College and the University of Central Missouri. Her passion was the Sedalia Police Department as her college major was criminal justice. She was a Christian and attended church faithfully. She loved the State Fair and attended most concerts. She and “Grammaw” were NASCAR groupies and didn’t miss many Friday nights. Her computer was a good friend and you could always find her downloading her favorite Christian music by “4-Him”. She was always ready to volunteer for anything. She will be remembered for her easy smile and giving and loving spirit. She will be in our hearts always.

Surviving are her mother and step-father, Mary Elisabeth “Libby” and Earl Byers; a brother, Billy Don Stephens (Christina); grandparents, William “Bill” and Mary Stephens; six aunts and uncles, Diana Lewis, of Houston, TX, Vivian (Mike) Moore, of Michigan, Pam (Rick) Towers, of CA, Barbara Saleh, B.J. Doolittle, Gerald Saleh, all of Texas, and Ginny (Rod) Greenough, of CA; a great aunt, Janice “Niece” Heashe, of Ohio; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and special extended family members, Mike, Julie and Jacob Paxton.
