Was born June 25, 1957 and passed away September 24, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. He worked for Dallas ISD for 28 years and was a member of Alliance AFT. Survived by wife of 33 years, Yolanda; daughter Lydia & husband Eric; son Ruben Jr.; mother Flora; brothers George & wife Nora , Rene & wife Yvette; sister Mary; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Ruben will be remembered for his sense of humor and devotion to family. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation is Sunday, September 27th from 12-9pm, with a 7pm Rosary at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home, 12649 Lake June Rd, Mesquite, TX 75180. Service is Monday, September 28th at 3pm at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 1054 N St Augustine Dr, Dallas, TX 75217. Interment will follow at Laurel Oaks Cemetery.
