Quincy – Luis Angel Guardia, 77 years of age, passed on to Life Eternal at Quincy Medical Center on Thursday, May 6, 2010. He was born at Lima, Peru. Luis came to the United States in 1962, first residing in Chicago, Illinois and then moving to Argentina. He studied engineering in Argentina and received a Master’s Degree there. He moved to Quincy in 1986. Luis had been employed as an engineer with the Stone and Webster Engineering firm in Boston. He is the beloved husband of Mirta M. (Castaneda) Guardia and the loving father of Gisele Benson married to Timothy Benson of Plymouth and Luis Roland Guardia married to Sue Guardia of Brockton. He is the devoted grandfather of Nicole Benson, Gregory Benson, Elizabeth Guardia, Emma Guardia and Andrew Guardia. Visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck – Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington St., BRAINTREE on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. There will be a gathering at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 11th at 9:00 A.M. to be followed by a Funeral Mass in the Church of Saint John the Baptist, School Street, QUINCY CENTER at l0:00 A.M. Burial will be at Saint James Cemetery, Whitman. Relatives and Friends invited.
