John C. “Jack” Hauser, Jr. of Owensboro, passed away October 25, 2010, at the Owensboro Medical Health System.  He was born February 17, 1920 to the late John C. Sr., and Ruth Bates Hauser in New Carlisle, IN.  He graduated from New Carlisle High School in 1938 and from Indiana University in 1942 with a degree in Marketing.  

He worked at J.L. Hudson’s in Detroit, MI and Marshall Fields in Chicago, IL, before moving abroad with Hilton Hotel International to Istanbul, Turkey, and Cairo, Egypt.  Later assignments with Hilton took him to Havana, Cuba and Nairobi, Kenya.  For many years he worked in administration at CARE International Missions in Pakistan, Philippines, Gaza, Sri Lanka, Viet Nam, and Israel.

Jack was preceded in death by his sisters, Genevieve Charlesworth, and Ann Adele Eberhart; his brothers, Charles Hauser and James Hauser; a niece, Sue Ann Crosby and a nephew, Tom Charlesworth.

Survivors include his nieces and nephews; Kent Hauser of Henderson, KY, John Hauser of Owensboro, KY, Kimberly Allen of Bullhead, AZ, Kyle Hauser of Burlington, NC, Kirk Hauser of Gibsonville, NC, Marcia Hauser of South Bend, IN, Cynthia Hauser of Culver City, CA, Beth Clendenen of Stillwater, MN, Cassie Lamb of Carlsbad, CA, Charles Hauser, Jr., of Fish Camp, CA, and Mary Camille Hauser of South Bend, IN; Barbara Myers of Muncie, IN, Michael Eberhart of Warren, OH;  a sister-in-law, Rosemary Hauser of New Carlisle, IN;  several great-nieces and great-nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be 4:00 PM Friday, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, with visitation from 2:00 until 4:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in New Carlisle, IN at a later date.
