Mary N. Holifield, age 88 of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Lewis and Exie Ann King Newport, and her sister, Martha Louise Sokol. Survived by: Husband of 70 years: Robert Holifield Son: Robert Holifield, Jr. and wife Geraldine Lynn Daughter: Margaret Ann (Peggy) Hood and husband James Donovan Grandchildren: Stacie Lynn Holifield, Tina Rose Austin and husband Kelvin Paul, Robert Q. (Bert) Holifield III , James Michael Hood, Brian Andrew Hood and wife Nicki, Jeanne Margaret Leiser and husband Nelson Great grandchildren: Whitney Harris, Derrick Harris, Devin Harris, Paige Austin, Cody Austin, Victoria Hope Austin, Silas Austin, Jeremy Holifield, Andrew Blake Hood, Tesslyn Anne Hood, Celina Hood, Jessica Michelle Hood, Samuel Aaron Hood, Sarah Elizabeth Hood, Jacob Donovan Leiser, and Maddison J. Leiser Great-great grandchildren: Mackynzee Howell and Elijah Bentley The family would like to thank the staff and residents of NHC Fort Sanders, especially Amanda, Jenny and Liz, and Denise and Cara with Caris Hospice. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 AM Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Ragan Shriver officiating. Inurnment at 1 PM Friday in Calvary Cemetery, Knoxville, TN.
