Zeno Wall, Jr., age 88 of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, died Saturday March 3, 2001 at The Doak Walker Care Center in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

A native of Mount Olive, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Dr. Zeno Wall and Ada Ramsey Wall.  He graduated from Shelby, NC High School and attended Gardner-Webb University and Wake Forest University.

Zeno was employed by American Enka Corp.,  was subsequently Director of the Gatlinburg Chamber of Commerce and later worked for the Brookside Resort.  He served as a Deacon in the First Baptist Church of Gatlinburg as well as serving as City Commissioner and Mayor of Gatlinburg.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth L. Wall, a brother Yates Wall, and a sister Abbie Harris.

Wynne Budniak of Louisville, Kentucky
Zeno Wall, III of Crested Butte, Colorado
Four Grandsons
Seven Great-Grandchildren
Ada Fanning of Davidson, North Carolina
Rev. Woodrow Wall of Shelby, North Carolina

The body was bequeathed to the University of Colorado School of Medicine.  A private service was held at Peterson Funeral Home in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
